The Justin Files, 3/20/08

Who would want to sue Oprah?
I'll tell ya who, Darlene Tracy from Boston would. She claims that Oprah's Big Give was snatched from an idea she came up with. Ms. Tracy says that she pitched a show to Oprah's producers in 2005 called The Philanthropist, they passed on the idea. Flash forward to 3 years later, and O's new charity show hits the air.

Needless to say, Darlene has hired a lawyer.

The Justin Files answers your entertainment questions
Vicky, getting The Point in Brick, gave a call yesterday and asked about a story she had only heard part of on TV. She said that she had heard that an Idol was pregnant and wanted to know more about the story. Well Vicky, I sent out my crack staff of researchers (i.e. Me) to uncover the story. It's nothing all that juicy, though. It turns out that Bo Bice just announced that his wife is expecting. They don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet, but it'll be their second child.

Thanks for reaching out, Vicky! If you have an entertainment question you'd like looked into, feel free to get in touch. You can either email justin(at)943thepoint(dot)com (just replace the "at" with @ and the "dot" with .), or call 732-988-POINT between 2-7p weekdays.

Quick Hits
* Amanda "The Rock & Roll Nurse" Overmyer is the latest cast off from American Idol. We're now down to the top 10. Poor Kristy Lee Cook was in the bottom two for the third week in a row. That's gotta do wonders for her confidence.

* The A-Team is on it's way to the big screen. The John Singleton directed update will his theaters in June of next year. I mean hey, it worked for the Miami Vice movie, right? Oh, wait...

* Step back from the ledge, Losties! It's only a 5 week lay off after tonight's episode, a lot better than the nearly 9 months we waited between seasons.
